Designed by Tadao Ando, the Chapel on the Water is a masterpiece of minimalism built with concrete and glass, harmonizing water, light, greenery, and wind. Floor-to-ceiling windows reveal surrounding birch forests and a reflective lake. At the altar, a cross of four beams mirrored in the water forms a luminous crucifix. Instead of music, the sounds of flowing water and wind accompany the ceremony, blurring the line between inside and out, as couples pledge eternity beneath the vast embrace of nature.
